Franz's exposure to music was through his parents who were classically trained, professional musicians. The family tradition of music began with his great grandfather, Trofim Kizub, leading the Czechoslovakian Symphony during the 1920's.
Franz studied composition and vocal performance at California State University, Northridge, earning his bachelors of music degree, Magna Cum Laude. As a student he won scholarships and awards in both composition and vocal performance.
As a professional musician, Franz has performed with Carl St.Caire and the Pacific Symphony on a tour of Germany and Austria, at the Disney Concert Hall and at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. In addition, Franz has performed the roll of Alfredo in Viterbo Italy with the Tuscia Opera Festival.
Franz was also a featured tenor in the acclaimed "Day is Done" by Michael Kelly. This production toured nationally and internationally at major exhibitions including the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California.
